We flew Southwest Airlines to Baltimore on a whim due to cheap fares during a Spring Break. We spent time in Baltimore, Colonial Williamsburg, Busch Gardens Williamsburg, and Charlottesville. Check out the itinerary below.
Day 1
- Southwest- FLL 5:30PM – BWI 8:00PM (dinner on plane)
- Rental car – Dollar (Autoslash)
- Stay – AirBnB
Day 2
- Breakfast
- Drive 10m to Ft. McHenry (opens @ 9AM)
- Panda parking or Uber to Inner Harbor – walk around
- Walk 15 min – lunch in Lexington Market Faidley’s
- Drive to see Raven’s Stadium and Orioles Stadium
- Drive to Mt. Vernon (1h 15m) (walk around) Closes 5pm
- Drive to Alexandria (15m), check in Residence Inn Alexandria Old Town (free)
- Take hotel shuttle Old Town Alexandria and Dinner @ Pizzeria Paradiso
Day 3
- Breakfast @ hotel
- Drive to Colonial Williamsburg (2h 15m)
- Lunch @ Chowning’s Tavern 11:30
- Drive to Jamestown (20m) – closes at 4:30
- Yorktown battlefield closes at 5pm
- Williamsburg Outlets
- Dinner @ Second Street
- Stay at Fairfield Williamsburg (free)
Day 4
- Breakfast @ hotel
- Busch Gardens Williamsburg
- Dinner – Food for Thought (15m)
- Drive 45 min to Stay at Courtyard Richmond Airport (free)
Day 5

- Drive to see Little White House (10m)
- Drive to Charlottesville (1h 15m)
- Bellair Market (Exxon) to pick up lunch to picnic at the lawn of the University of Virginia
- Skyline Drive – Shenandoah NP
- Drive back to Baltimore (2h 45m)
- Flight @ 6:30
